Expectations play a huge part in Christmas. We have expectations of our family. Expectations about the gifts we'll give and receive. Expectations about the way this Christmas will look, taste and feel. More than 2000 years ago, people had expectations too. Some were expecting a Messiah. King Herod was expecting a threat. The wise men were expecting to find a king. The shepherds were expecting... well, sheep! Joseph was expecting to get married. And Mary was expecting a baby.

So think about this: what are you expecting this Christmas? As we begin a new series called "Expecting," get ready to find out what happens when God's people focus their expectations on just one thing... the Savior!
