Ministry Information:

Mission
Our mission, with the help of the Holy Spirit is to create a community of intercessors where ministry will be forged in the furnace of night and day prayer, from a place of intimacy with God, so that we can effectively reach out, protect, strengthen, and empower every effort God leads us into.

Vision
The Light of the World Prayer Center consists of groups of people gathered together—partnering together with Jesus Christ the eternal intercessor, praying out of a place of intimacy, His Kingdom come, His Will be done. It is our vision to “Establish a lighthouse of prayer for the Lord’s light to shine 24/7 in the city.” In this place people gather in Jesus’ name, praying and singing God’s Word out loud to Him everyday, 24/7! It is organized around weekly prayer meetings, 1-2hr each. Each of these meetings is under the direction and oversight of Jason Hubbard, Pastor of Prayer at Christ the King Community Church.

I. Key Scriptures to Meditate on:

2 Chronicles 5:13-14, “The trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice, to give praise and thanks to the LORD . Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, they raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang: "He is good; his love endures forever." Then the temple of the LORD was filled with a cloud, 14 and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the temple of God.”

2 Chronicles 7:14, “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

II. Key Principles:

• Worship is our greatest weapon in Spiritual Warfare, if you just do this for your hour of prayer, your have done the best work! Key worship Scriptures to use: Psalm 145, Isaiah 6:1-8, Revelation 4-5

1Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. Pray from a place of intimacy, God I love you, Abba would you fill this place with your presence, you are so good! Would you come and be at home in the hearts of the people of CTK, a resting place for your name. Luke 18:1-8

• If you don’t know how to pray or what to pray, Pray the Bible prayers. Use suggested prayers to get you started. Pray them outloud, turn them into dialogue with God, put the names of people, ministries, etc into the bible prayers! Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:1,2

• To Intercede means to “Stand in the gap” Come to pray primarily on behalf of others, not your own needs. Ezekiel 22:30

• Ask and Invite the Holy Spirit to come. Ask him to teach you how to pray, to fill you with his desires, passions and ideas!

• Trust in God’s ability to protect you and speak to you, more than the devil’s ability to deceive you or hurt you.

• Persevere! Don’t give up! Keep praying, asking, seeking, knocking and God will do it! James 5:16

• Remember we are asking God to do what he wants to do, not what we want him to do. Spend time listening to him, asking him to lead you in prayer.

1) Start with Thanksgiving, this will lead you into his REST,

2) In stillness and rest you can then hear from God about what he wants you to pray as the Spirit prompts you. Romans 8:26
