FAQs
Who is CTK Ferndale for?
Anyone who lives in, works in, or cares about the Ferndale area is welcome to be a part of the new Ferndale CTK service.
What does this location offer?
CTK Ferndale is a video venue with live worship and children's programs for newborn to 6th grade. Our weekend service is comprised of worship with a live band followed by a video message from Pastor Grant Fishbook, recorded from the previous night's service at CTK Bellingham. Besides small groups, all mid-week programs and classes are offered and available only at the Bellingham campus. The Ferndale site pastor provides pastoral care to the Ferndale congregation and leads the charge on specific outreach to the Ferndale community.
What are the important dates and times?
- At this time, weekly services are Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM
Where does CTK Ferndale meet?
Horizon Middle School, 2671 Thornton Road in Ferndale
How does CTK Ferndale do ministry?
CTK Ferndale is committed to being a church that connects with God, connects with each other, and strives to connect others with God. We operate under the same mission, vision and values as our Bellingham campus.
Our focus is on doing three things well:
- Excellent weekend worship including excellent ministry for children
- Biblical community through small community groups
- Creative outreach to the Ferndale residents
Who will the pastor be?
At this time, Derek Archer, Pastor of Community Development at Bellingham CTK will be our acting site pastor. We are actively seeking a pastor who is passionate about caring for the Ferndale attenders and reaching out to the Ferndale community.
Specifically, how will we reach out the community?
To effectively reach out to unchurched people in Ferndale, we encourage a three-step process: connect, serve, invite. We want to be a body of believers who are connecting with others. People need community, friendship and connection. In the grocery store, at schools, wherever we go, we look for opportunities to connect and serve others. Through connecting and serving, we gain relational permission to invite. While we plan to organize outreach events, and to advertise opportunities to serve in the community, our main focus of outreach will be equipping the people of Ferndale CTK to live a life on mission. Whether you are interacting with your family, your boss and co-workers or your grocery checker, you can be the hands of feet of Jesus, reaching out in love, acceptance, and forgiveness.
