For New Believers or Believers with Questions

Alpha

Foundations
Build a biblical foundation for life by learning who God and Jesus are, who we are in God’s eyes, what Jesus accomplished, and much more.

Prelude to the Cross
Study of Isaiah's professies of Jesus. It is the gospel story told from the perspective of God the Father as he explains why he has to send his only Son to save us.

Recovery

One of our core values at Christ the King Church is a Culture of Recovery. But even the word recovery comes with its own baggage. People may associate recovery groups with substance addiction or those who have endured significant abuse.

From our perspective, recovery is simply the process of recovering the life God intended for us. What we have found is that sometimes people need a little help along the way. A culture of recovery means encouragement to be honest and authentic about where you are without judgment or condemnation. In other words, you get to be a real person.

Grieving the Losses In Life, Monday Evening Session
Pain from lifes losses is where many of us stay stuck, because we’ve never learned how to fully grieve or given ourselves permission to do so. Learn how grieving is God’s natural process for working through pain and loss, and how he longs to help us get unstuck and begin to heal.

Boundaries
Where do I draw the line… and how? Learn how saying no to certain people, commitments and compulsions can free you up to say yes to the things that bring contentment and joy.

12 Steps
Provides a framework for God’s plan for transformation and freedom. This session gives more emphasis to Jesus, his transforming work on the cross, and prayer.

Changes: Ongoing Support Group
