Haiti Relief

UPDATE, 2/16/10:

The last container was filled and sent to Haiti yesterday. Please continue to pray!

UPDATE, 2/10/10:

The people who attend Christ the King have generously given almost $ 50,000.00 toward Haiti relief thru CTK, Starfish, New Generation and other relief agencies. Children in Fun Zones have been collecting food and will soon begin to put together World Vision Caregiver Kits for Haiti. CTK has also helped to fill 4 containers with food and medical supplies for Haiti relief in partnership with NCCTK.  A team from New Generation Ministries will leave for Haiti the end of February.

Christ the King is partnering with North County CTK to bring relief to the people of Haiti. If you would like to help, there are three ways you can do so…

Organizations authorized by CTK to receive funds for Haitian victims are:

A relief container will be located in front of NCCTK and will be shipped to Haiti in 3 weeks. You can start collecting items now. The following items are needed:

  • Non-perishable food, especially peanut butter, rice and beans
  • Pedialyte
  • Powdered baby formula
  • Diapers
  • Flashlights
  • Batteries
  • Hand tools (new or slightly used)
  • Plastic or paper plates, dishes, and eating utensils
  • First aid supplies

Please do not donate clothing right now. The priority is the life saving items listed above.

If you are unable to drop off your non-perishable food items or first aid supplies in Lynden, you may leave them at CTK Bellingham reception and volunteers will take them to Lynden. If you are donating first aid supplies please make sure they are not expired.

You may also donate to Haiti relief at CTK Bellingham. Please put your donation in a blue mission’s envelope and mark it Haiti relief.
