We carefully unwrap them, clear a special place for them, and thoughtfully arrange the figures surrounding the manger. But have you ever stopped to look closely and imagine what each of those characters might have been experiencing? This year’s Christmas sermon series will take you inside the hearts and minds of the real people behind those figurines – the ones who were there at the birth of Jesus. We’ll discover together how each person in the story chose to release something of value in order to be present in that unforgettable moment. And in each sacrifice of release, God came near, replacing whatever was released with something far greater: his presence.
