Christ the King has been my home church for almost 10 years now. I began as a college student at WWU and have attended through many stages of my walk with Christ. CTK for me represents a precious opportunity to ask God "Can you forgive me? and Where to from here?" He has been faithful to answer both in my life and as Ephesians 3 says he is able to do immeasurably more than all I could have asked or imagined, according to his power that is at work within me.
My daughter, Cynthia, is 5 and together we make an incredible team. Our life is fun, full, and blessed by our Dad. I have led a small group of single moms for the past 4 years and they have taught me immense amounts about life-line faith, true surrender, and the healing that Christ offers each of us. This new opportunity to join the Women's Ministry team has unfolded as I watch God reaching out to many at our church offering what I'll call "Relationship Recovery" for lack of a better term. Dating, marriage, sexuality, love, and all things romantic can and have been the source of so much pain for some of us. I believe ministry is, at its core, relationships---the hand over the side of the life boat---that will reach into a life, build a bridge to Christ and to others who can testify to His love, and give abundantly of what Christ has given. How exciting to know he has a plan to weave our lives together to accomplish his perfect plans!!
