After spending ten years in Seattle, I recently returned to Bellingham, my hometown. I am so happy to be back in this beautiful city! I graduated from Sehome High School and attended Western Washington University before receiving a degree in dance from Cornish College of the Arts. After graduating, I worked at Cornish in the Preparatory Dance Department for children where I once rode in an elevator with Mikhail Baryshnikov. Oh, how I miss the dance world!
Today I dance in a different way, with my two sons, Jude Jacob and Levi Lewis. Jude likes to “twirl and boing” and Levi enjoys the “shh, baby” dance. They are truly the loves of my life besides our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I came to the Lord about five years ago, through a path of intense trauma and depression. Because of Jesus, I have been wiped clean and nothing gets me down (not even the weather in Bellingham!). Praise God!
I am thrilled to be working at Christ the King Community Church. I began attending in November of 2006. Initially I was terrified of attending such a big church, being afraid of crowds and worried about not finding my niche. However, I was literally “caught by the net” and don’t want to swim away! I have found tremendous support and opportunity at Christ the King and know that it is exactly where God wants me to be. |
