Kristin Uhrig - Church Council


I am a WWU graduate and was very active in Campus Christian Fellowship. I decided to stay in Bellingham after graduation and have worked closely with local churches for the past 20 years, focusing on missions, worship and in-depth Bible study.

Explaining and defending the Gospel to nonbelievers is my passion, and I currently facilitate several evangelism threads online. This is my first term on Council and my second year helping with Awana Cubbies. I believe that CTK has a unique passion for reaching the lost and exhibits the marks of an authentic Christian community. The joy of salvation is contagious and it is my prayer that our church will not only effect Whatcom County with that joy, but will carry it like a torch to the nations.

Before having children, I worked as both a lab manager for an Optometric partnership and as a Nursing Home Assistant Activity Director. I have been happily married to Superior Court Judge Ira Uhrig, for 15 years and have four delightful boys which I have the privilege of homeschooling. We live on a small hobby farm and enjoy caring for a menagerie of critters.
