I did not grow up in a Christian home, and was pretty skeptical of the whole religion thing. While attending Western Washington University I meet a down to earth group of guys that I played basketball with who really knew Jesus, and met together in a small group. After continual invitations, I decided to join them, which began my authentic pursuit of a relationship with Christ. Jesus revealed himself to me in his Word, through prayer and through many incredible experiences in college, and I committed my life to fully following him. I began attending CTK in 1993, and started leading worship in 1996.

I have worked for years with young adults and small groups to help them discover and experience the presence of our living God. I am currently focused on Community Development, which includes working with leaders from small group leaders, to church planters. I am on the missions team, and oversee the Young Adult ministry, Internship and Discipleship programs. I also do collaborative work with other ministries and churches in Whatcom County, and other CTK’s in Washington and around the world. I am committed to leadership development and seeing leaders become who God has called them to be. I am also passionate about seeing those far from God have an opportunity to find out who Jesus really is and to live fully for him. I enjoy reading, playing the guitar, and anything baseball. I am tremendously excited to spend time with my wife, Christina, and daughters Courtney, Chloe and Devyn. We like to travel, (Christina’s family lives in North Carolina) go to the park and the zoo, and enjoy family dinners and movie nights
